It is not just in love where we often get to ask ourselves “Why”. At this very moment, I cannot sit without sharing with you, my dear readers, the fact that by just simply asking why, we discover more of ourselves and the longing of our existence. As a fan of romantic films, I am very much aware of how the lead delivers the line saying, “Why did you choose her over me?” or “Why did we end up as strangers again?”, but do not worry yourselves. Lasallian speaking, this blog will change the way you see “why”.
We bleed green but did you know that Lasallians have their own favorites set along a yellow lane? Yes! You heard it right. Our on- the- go food stalls with varying street food products and necessities are located along the streets of B.S Aquino Drive. Outside the green gates of the campus, one can see flocks of street food lovers negotiating with the kind vendors present during early morning get ups until everyone’s late night walks serving the best of the Filipino traditional street offerings. Kudos to Lasallian health and sanitary services department for checking these start-ups and making sure that the fills in our stomachs are safe and clean.
Of course, we go to uni to not just fill our restless stomachs but more essentially, to fill up our minds. After testing our tongues with different flavors outside, we now go inside. Anyways, it is never wrong to test our knowledge and widen our imaginations with books. Why choose USLS? Definitely, I have answers to that if you will come along and check out our facilities including the library. Meeting a USLS student without funny jiffy stories at the library would not be so normal. Others even stay there with the belief that it is the home of intelligent handsome cuties. Why would you dare not to try? Keeping quiet will be pleasing in such a place but, we are university students for sake! It’s always rewarding to get the tingles when the librarian makes the odd look and rings the bell. These are just the first two things that you should tick off your “Bakit” List.
Here at the University of St. La Salle, we dig deeper into life by turning your experiences into precious university moments rather than college regrets. In every aspect, in every grain, and in each sand dune falling off the hour glass, time is of essence. A reason thereof to enjoy being young and free before we kick that bucket. One big part of the journey I am talking about is by being a university student. As beating deadlines, reaching dissertation standards, and essay compositions become our natural skill in due time, we must never forget to live our age. Without setting all of these aside, it is more than significant to choose the right community for honing our values, safeguarding ourselves, and appreciating the beauty in diversity.
Hoping that you can tick off all the boxes in your list before you graduate, my dear!
